SH-9 Construction

CEC provided construction inspection, testing, and audit services for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) for 1.036 miles of grading, surfacing, and a bridge on I-35 at the intersection of SH-9 and Lindsey Street in Norman, Oklahoma. This project included the widening of I-35 and major reconstruction of the interchanges at Lindsey Street and SH-9 East, as well as the total reconstruct of the Lindsey Street bridge over I-35.

The new Lindsey Street interchange was defined as a SPUI interchange, alleviating traffic congestion and moving large volumes of traffic more effectively. This project has had significant impacts on traffic in Norman, and represents the largest single contract in ODOT’s history, and includes only one of three SPUI interchanges in the state of Oklahoma.
