US-80 Mesquite Subsurface Utility Engineering Test Holes

CEC’s Subsurface Utility Engineering team provided Quality Level A test holes to expose existing utilities at 10 locations along the US-80 Roadway Improvement project in Mesquite, TX. Our SUE team utilized geophysical locating equipment to identify the utility location electronically, and then utilized vacuum excavation to safely expose the utilities at all 10 locations. Once the utilities were exposed, CEC surveyed each location to document its exact horizontal and vertical location, and added this information to the existing utility file.

The US 80 Roadway Improvements project will provide a safer driving experience, and CEC is proud to offer SUE services to help TxDOT reduce their overall cost and prevent construction delays due to unknown utilities.
