SH-123 over Eliza and Sand Creeks

SH-123 over Eliza and Sand Creeks

CEC provided survey, structural analysis, and traffic control plans for two bridges south of Bartlesville, OK on Oklahoma State Highway 123 in Osage County.

The bridge over Sand Creek is a four span, 60’ X 100’ X 100’ X 60’, PCB bridge with no skew and TR4 bridge railings.  The existing bridge deck was almost entirely delaminated, and had severely corroded reinforcement, and leaking expansion joints.  Abutments and piers had significant reinforcement corrosion and concrete delamination.  All substructure components were repaired with pneumatically placed mortar and epoxy crack injection.  PCB ends were repaired with epoxy injection.  The existing bridge deck was replaced.  The bridge has since been removed from the Oklahoma Structurally Deficient Bridge List.

The bridge over Eliza creek is a curved and skewed three span, 60’ X 60’ X 60’, PCB bridge with TR4 bridge railings.  The existing bridge deck was delaminated in spots, had some corroded reinforcement, and leaking expansion joints.  Abutments and piers had significant reinforcement corrosion and concrete delamination.  All substructure components were repaired with pneumatically placed mortar and epoxy crack injection.  The portions of the existing bridge deck were replaced.  The bridge has since been removed from the Oklahoma Structurally Deficient Bridge List.
