OKC Convention Center Parking Garage

OKC Convention Center Parking Garage

The Oklahoma City Convention Center consists of a new 6.5 level parking garage, including a half-level basement to accommodate visitors to the adjacent Omni Hotel, Oklahoma City Convention Center, the Boulevard Place apartments, and nearby retail. CEC provided MEP engineering services for lighting, power distribution, HVAC, and plumbing design and construction administration. The structure includes approximately 1,100 parking spaces and approximately 1,500 SF of office space for Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority (COTPA) personnel.

This parking garage is one of CEC’s more unique projects, because it includes a mural by glass artist Martin Donlin. His artwork wraps the south, east and west walls of the garage, and was inspired in part by Oklahoma City architecture and traditional Native American textile patterns (read more here). The mural was funded through the City of Oklahoma City’s 1% for Arts initiative.
