Darren Smith, PLS
Chief Surveyor
Darren Smith serves as Chief Surveyor and has been with CEC since 1997. He began his surveying career in 1985 as a draftsman and has grown into a trusted leader in the survey profession. He resonates most with how deeply our mission and culture are rooted in relationships. Everything we do revolves around treating people with respect, supporting one another, and building strong, healthy connections. He values building relationships with his co‑workers, who truly feel like extended family, and he is committed to mentoring the next generation of surveyors.
Darren and his wife have three children. Outside work, he enjoys watching and attending Oklahoma Sooner athletic events, vacationing and spending time with his family, hanging out with lifelong high school friends, and sharing life with his church family.
