Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma Camp Trivera

The Girl Scouts old camp, Camp Cookieland, had to be sold to make way for a new highway project. This gave way to an opportunity to improve upon the facilities and experience the Girl Scouts of Oklahoma is able to provide to their members. The new 14 acre site includes an amphitheater, learning spaces, treehouses, walking trails, and a swimming pool. The new two story lodge, approximately 25,000 SF, includes elements to promote STEM as well as providing a flexible event space, offices, a covered porch, and bunk rooms.

Design features included:

• Civil/Site design goals included low impact development
• Minimizing disruption to the natural site was a priority
• Site design was carried out to avoid as many trees and natural rock formations as possible and even enhancing those that remained
• Improvements were designed to blend into the surroundings
