OKC Fire Stations #21 & #23
The City of Oklahoma City was in need of replacing two aging fire stations. This project included a building design that was then site adapted to the two locations designated for fire station replacements. Each facility includes a garage and support areas for department equipment, living area, dorm rooms, kitchen, and an exercise room.
The design features included a single story, 7,000 square foot base bid and 9,000 square feet including alternates. The structural system design consisted of load-bearing light gauge, steel framing with structural steel. The HVAC systems included split system air conditioning, radiant tube heaters, and a vehicle exhaust system. The project also included a generator design bid alternate for building emergency power and a LED lighting system.
CEC provided the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design, as well as structural engineering consulting services for the project.
