ODOT Maintenance Facilities

ODOT Maintenance Facilites

CEC was tasked by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) to design a County Maintenance Facility prototype that could be adapted to meet the needs of every county throughout Oklahoma with the ultimate goal of replacing every facility across the state.

CEC partnered with STUDIO Architecture to develop a Maintenance Facility prototype which included a 5,000 SF office building and service bay; two fabric-roof shed capable of storing 1,600 tons of salt and sand; a fueling station with a canopy; a 12-bay equipment storage shed; and a custom rack system for trucks to hang their salt bins.

The Maintenance Facility was designed to meet ODOT’s needs for an effective way to house staff and equipment that are essential to keeping ODOT’s highways and bridges safe for drivers year-round.
