48-Inch Water Transmission Main
CEC was selected by the City of Oklahoma City to provide design services for a two-mile long 48-inch water transmission main from the intersection of SW 29th Street and MacArthur Boulevard to the intersection of SW 8th Street and Peniel Avenue. CEC provided topographic and control survey, environmental and alignment studies, plans for a 250 foot horizontal bore, and permitting to work with the US Army Corps of Engineers near the N. Canadian River. CEC also provided utility coordination, bidding services, and construction administration. Special design features included a 250 linear foot horizontal bore under N. Canadian River and steel wall thickness calculations for buckling at depths that cover up to 30 feet.
